Furniture bling?

The latest trend in home decoration has become the furniture accessory. What looks like a large charm bracelet is just that, a charm to accent your jewelry and to “make the bed into who you want her to be,” says Judi Roaman.

Jean-Marc Garel tableau jewelry

I am a huge fan of deconstruction. I love seeing Jean-Marc Garel take deconstruction in to the jewelry world.
The French designer has taken quartz and turned them in to partially faceted, partially rough gems and set them in deconstructed rings and pendants.
There will only be a few of these piece made in white quartz and [...]

Timekeeping Meets Steampunk

I just finished wiping the puddle of drool off my desk and think I can finally do a little typing now. I love watches. I love Steampunk. The HM2 from Maximilian Büsser and MB&F continues the HM1’s legacy with what I consider to be one of the coolest watches on the planet. A mechanical movement [...]

Crater of Diamonds keeps cranking them out

Chad Johnson, who moved to Murfreesboro in February, nearly tossed a 4.38 carat, tea colored diamond. Johnson stowed his equipment after a weekend of sifting for diamonds and didn’t notice the cube shaped diamond until Monday.
The diamond, making approximately 80 that he has found since moving to Arkansas, is the second largest found this year. [...]

The New Von Dutch Watches

I’ve always been a Von Dutch fan. And the new Dutchman watch just reinforces that feeling.
The Von Dutch DUTCHMAN dual time zone chronograph is destined to redefine the way you look at time, this watch epitomizes the classic power of hard-edged elegance.
Curving stainless steel exhaust pipes frame two sunray dials, providing structure and dimension. [...]

Gold hits $800

For the first time in more than 20 years gold has hit the $800 per ounce mark. As little as 3 years ago gold was just $400 / oz. While there are a lot of reasons for this dramatic rise in price, one thing is sure, it has affected the cost of jewelry and will [...]
