Curves - Split vote in the 2004 International CAD Design CompetitionI am a real jeweler. In 2001 I made a major career change to get back in to my artistic roots and the opportunity to design and make jewelry appeared. In that time I have entered, and placed, in several jewelry competitions with my favorite being a split vote where 3 judges voted his design best of show, and 3 judges voted it dead last.

My original design study was in architecture and I hold a BA in Architecture fro the University of New Mexico. Between then and now I have held many job titles including Editor-In-Chief of VrE Online, an old online game magazine. No matter what I do I end up back in the design field in some way.

I created Jewelry-News.Net recently as a part of that outlet. I see a lot of great designs and news relating to the jewelry industry that doesn’t always make it out to the general public. I hope that as the site grows we can give you more and better news, interviews and discussions about the business that I have come to love.

My personal preferences tend toward the Art Deco style and Deconstruction and natual color gemstones. I hope that you understand if I show a little favoritism for those styles over the boring DeBeers 3 stone right hand diamond ring :)

Finally, if you would like to see some of the work I do every day, you can head over to Images Jewelers and browse through our always growing custom jewelry website.
